Actress Jodie Foster was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for her “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment,” at the 2013 Golden Globes. In her acceptance speech she finally opened up about her personal life (rather, about whether or not she is gay) - or did she?

Either way, receiving such a prestigious award just proves this cover of The Advocate from April 4, 1995 was right: rumors about an actor’s alleged homosexuality really can’t stall a successful career.
