Tomorrow, at 10:00am EST, the U.S. Supreme Court will announce their decision on the highly publicized court cases on Prop. 8 in California and Section 3 of DOMA. I think it’s pretty clear, who’s side we’re on…

The Atlantic released their June 2013 cover story today, titled “What Straights Can Learn From Same-Sex Couples,” and features a tight-angle photograph of two (presumably married) men hand-in-hand. While it doesn’t have the same shock and awe TIME induced earlier this year— when they featured same-sex couples kissing on the cover— it’s still warms us to see these publications embracing the impressive cultural strides we’ve made this year as a community. FEMEN protesters in France have been a recurring and dramatic presence during the country’s debate about marriage equality. They go bare-chested and loudly into anti-gay marriage protests and are often arrested. So after Dominique Venner, an outspoken opponent of marriage equality, took the extreme measure of committing suicide inside Paris’ Notre Dame cathedral in apparent protest of the country’s new law, a FEMEN protester showed up to counter. The woman is painted in the slogan “May Fascism Rest in Hell” and she wields a gun, even pointing it into her own mouth, but unlike Venner she doesn’t pull the trigger. The photos of the startling protest are jarring, and they end in arrest.
